Good morning Houston,
Today is a wonderful day to praise the Lord! I thank our Father in Heaven for the children He has blessed me with. Through the years, when I started diving deeper into biblical truth, Holy Spirit has really opened my mind to our Father in Heaven. When I shifted my mindset toward a relationship with The Father in Heaven it really opened the flood gates of understanding. Jesus, in the gospels, opens our eyes to who our Father truly is. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6 KJV
We have to consistently wash our minds with scripture and profitable conversation with believers to keep a Christlike mindset. Keeping the mind of Christ allows us to not be distracted by the worries of the world so we can discern what Holy Spirit is communicating with us while we are in our secret place. I remember the first time I started giving the first of my morning to the Lord. I would wake up early and walk straight to another room. I felt weird doing it at first because I didn’t know what to expect, but I did it in faith and wrote everything down that crossed my mind during those times. Those days blew me away by how much He showed me about myself and how He was moving into this city with a greater measure of His glory. “The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.“ – Lamentations 3:22-23
Sometimes we fail to realize we are holding some guilt or unforgiveness in our hearts. That tiny bit we don’t want to let go of will cloud our judgment when we desire to come into agreement with the Lord’s plans. So be aware of the health and status of relationships. It is more beneficial to love everyone, even your enemies. Sometimes people feel like they are “their own worst enemy”. You have to love yourself as well and forgive yourself. As humans, we will experience emotions as a reaction to a cause but it is our decision to hold that seed and let it bud into something bigger. Hand it over to the Lord and keep moving forward in His plans for you and the Kingdom. We must remain humble with each other and be alert when there is a valid observation from one of our brothers or sisters. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.“ – 1 Peter 5:6-8
Write it down, write it down, write it down and write it down. I can’t tell you how many times I have not written something down that I believed was important during prayer just to forget it! When we write down what Holy Spirit has revealed to us it becomes a powerful witness when those words manifest in our lives. I remember this one time I couldn’t shake a hopeless feeling due to a situation I was in. I was speaking scripture out loud, speaking positive words, and talking it out with two close friends. It was not until I listened to Holy Spirit telling me to write down the lies I was believing and write His Truth next to those lies. The lies were on the left and the Truth (His Word) was on the right. After I wrote it down it was like my eyes opened and a weight lifted off of my shoulders. Writing it down makes it more clear. Imagine your thoughts being dozens of different species of butterflies flying around in a small glass cage. As they are flying around all together you will be able to see some features but you can quickly get drawn by another beautiful butterfly. Sometimes you may look at the same one forgetting you already saw it. Now imagine those same butterflies, like in a museum. They are lined up, pinned to a board, identified, and displayed so viewers can see them clearly. Writing it down allows you to get your thoughts in order and also clearly convey to others your beautiful journey with The Lord. “Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a herald may run with it. For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end and does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and will not delay.“ – Habakkuk 2:2-3
Saul was a king of Isreal who was anointed by Samuel to lead The Lord’s people. He started off fine but waivered due to his own will. He didn’t follow The Lord’s instruction due to fear. He allowed the people to convince him to compromise which eventually led to his decline. We all would like to be blessed with no worry or friction from others but that is not what Jesus said we would have. We will consistently be questioned about our actions because they do not make sense to the world. So it is very important to listen to the still small voice inside of us. We must stay in communion with Holy Spirit to confidently walk in the fullness of what The Lord has planned for us and His people.
In contrast to Saul, David was a man after The Lord’s Heart. The way he praised The Lord was on another level. He set up consistent worship in the tabernacle. This worship went on and on (24/7). Even when The Lord told him he was not the one to build a house for Him, he praised Him. David praised and worshipped The Lord through everything he went through, good or bad.
I pray that this post will help believers get to the next level The Lord is asking us to climb up to. Have a blessed Sunday everyone. May The Lord bless Houston, Texas, and the surrounding area with His mercy and instruction to feed the flame of revival that has already been lit in this city!

I love you Brother Josh. This word is fruit bearing. God will use this word of truth to touch those who are struggling right where they are today. Struggling with loving others, unforgiveness and even those who are struggling w/ drawing nearer to our Savior (Jesus Christ).
Our words are so powerful, our hearts overall health is pertinent to walking in the surrendered posture God wants us to walk in. The freedom we desire can only come after we’ve forgiven everyone including ourselves and laid down all of worries, cares and burdens at Jesus’ feet.
I’m proud of you brother! I pray God continue to use you in a mighty way, that your website and intercessory prayer focus stands for all those who don’t have the faith or courage to stand for themselves. I’m so thankful God put you into my life and we walked through a tough season together. God showed us together on the other side of the battlefield is victory in Jesus. We walked through some tough times and I praise God he allowed me to walk it out with you. I love you brother and will continue to pray that God uses this platform to reach the lost, heal the sick, mend the broken-hearted and give hope to the hopeless! Pray without ceasing and continue to walk out the great calling God has on your life. Love your brother in Christ! -Paul Leslie
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
