one church. one table.
A Citywide Table of Encounter, Worship, and Gospel UnityCommunion Houston is a large-scale public gathering centered around worship, communion, prayer, unity, and relational evangelism in the heart of downtown Houston at Houston City Hall on September 26, 2026.
It is one of hundreds of communion gatherings in partnership with the Awaken The Dawn: Come To The Table 2026 initiative happening simultaneously in 200+ cities all over the United States.
The vision is simple but powerful:
To set a table before the city — where believers and nonbelievers alike can encounter the presence of God together through worship, communion, authentic conversation, and the Gospel.
why communion?
The Table & The InvitationCommunion is at the heart of this gathering because it centers everything on Jesus — His sacrifice, His presence, and His invitation to humanity. The table represents unity, reconciliation, humility, and remembrance, bringing people together across backgrounds, churches, and life stories.
By gathering around communion publicly, we are proclaiming the Gospel not only through preaching, but through hospitality, worship, and shared encounter. Communion Houston is ultimately about setting a table in the heart of the city where people can meet Jesus and experience the love of God in a tangible and relational way.
