Help set the Largest Public Communion Table in the History of Houston

Communion Houston is a large-scale public gathering centered around worship, communion, prayer, unity, and relational evangelism in the heart of downtown Houston at City Hall on September 25, 2026.

It is one of hundreds of communion gatherings in partnership with the Awaken The Dawn: Come To The Table 2026 initiative happening simultaneously in 200+ cities all over the United States.

OUR VISION

To set a table before the city — where believers and nonbelievers alike can encounter the presence of God together through worship, communion, authentic conversation, the Gospel, and publicly rededicating the City of Houston to God.

A Gathering of 40,000 Believers

In October 2025, Awaken the Dawn and a collaborative of nationally recognized ministries came together to host 50 tents of worship for 50 hours on the National Mall with over 2000+ worship teams from around the United States.  On Oct 9–12 in 2025, over 40,000 people came to lift up the name of Jesus nonstop for 4 days.

Houston Prayer 24/7 was one of 5 regional leaders for the State of Texas.  We coordinated multiple Houston teams to serve in the Texas State Tent—covering over 22+ hours of worship, prayer, hospitality, and evangelism as one unified Houston House of Prayer.  Together, we hosted the Presence of God for Texas and the nation.

Communion Houston is an extension of what happened at Communion America.

donate

Gather a team of believers who want to share their faith.  Invite co-workers, prodigals, neighbors, or family members who do not know Jesus.  Host a meal at the table where you can share authentic conversations that give you an opportunity to share the Gospel through your testimony and explain the significance of The Lord's Supper.

Table hosts are responsible for all elements of the meal and communion elements.  Table, chairs, and table linen will be provided after reservation is confirmed and table host orientation is completed.

Reservation for a table is REQUIRED.  If you've never done this before, we will help you with training to prepare you.

why communion?

The Table & The Invitation

Communion is at the heart of this gathering because it centers everything on Jesus — His sacrifice, His presence, and His invitation to humanity. The table represents unity, reconciliation, humility, and remembrance, bringing people together across backgrounds, churches, and life stories.

By gathering around communion publicly, we are proclaiming the Gospel not only through preaching, but through hospitality, worship, and shared encounter. Communion Houston is ultimately about setting a table in the heart of the city where people can meet Jesus and experience the love of God in a tangible and relational way.
